Our biology class had to pick an endangered species and create a presentation on it. My group chose to research the African Elephant. In our presentation, we talked about the effect humans have on these Elephants.
Habitat destruction and overhunting this species is one of the main reasons they are endangered. Many steps need to be taken to get this species population to rise. Starting with ending all hunting and poaching of these amazing creature. Restoring these elephants habitats will also although their population to grow.
It is very important to save the African Elephants. Once one species goes extinct its a sign that the ecosystem is crashing because the food chain gets messed up. To maintain a healthy environment elephants are important. Another reason to save endangered species is that many crucial medicines are found in a healthy ecosystem.
Overall this project was a very fun and interesting one to complete!
